The mission of the Brave Hearts' Girl's
Ministry program is to mentor and build confidence in young women through
Christ-centered relationships, biblical application, acquisition of life
skills, and interactive activities. The Brave Hearts' ministry is an active
program combining the challenges of life skill merits (to build skills and
confidence) and small group bible studies (to foster a personal relationship
with Christ). The program focuses on interactive teaching methodologies, big
sister mentor relationships, and hands-on learning. The ministry is divided
into Lil' Hearts (K/1st grade), Discovery Hearts (2nd-4th grade), and Adventure
Hearts (5th-8th grade).
The program has no registration fees. The goal is to include all who want to participate in the program. To help keep the costs to a minimum, the only uniform is a BH t-shirt ($15.00) and jeans. The program also has BH sweatshirts and zip-hoodies this year at a cost of $25.00 for the sweatshirts and $30.00 for the zip-hoodies. Last, all of the merits are displayed on a BH denim bag. The bag is available for purchase, but it is optional.
Activities are included throughout the year including Marshmallow Fun Night, Campout, Diva Night, and Rawhide Ranch Equestrian weekend camp. The Campout and Rawhide Ranch weekend have additional charges. Space is limited for both of these events. However, if there is a financial hardship involved, event scholarships are available.
